LONG AN INTERNATIONAL PORT - LONG AN PORT - SOAI RAP RIVER

  
 
The Long An Port Project is a 1,925-hectare project in Can Giuoc district, Long An province. The project is 30 km south of Ho Chi Minh city center. The project is divided into four sub-projects, including the Southeast Asia industrial park project with an area of 396 hectares, an industrial service area of 236 hectares, a residential project of 1,145 hectares and a 147-hectare seaport with 2.6 km of frontage along the Soai Rap river. I. LOCATION AND ACCEPTANCE OF LONG AN SEA PORT
 
Long An Port has a very convenient location, connecting easily with the surrounding area and the Mekong River Delta (RDR) both by waterway and by road.
38 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City along National Highway 50, 30 km from the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway.
Adjacent to Huong Highway 19 (Ben Luc -Tan Tap Street) will be upgraded and expanded; Access to Tan Tap - Long Hau expressway; Adjacent to Ring Road 4 in the future.
15 km from the East Sea estuary along the Soai Rap river.
 
Easy access to Vam Co river system and Cho Gao canal, which is the arterial waterway connecting to the Mekong Delta.
In addition, the phase 2 dredging project of Soai Rap river for 50,000-70,000 DWT vessels is about to be completed.
 
Long An port has the advantage of natural geographical conditions, water areas, shipping channels and convenient waterway and road traffic systems to exploit the potential of maritime exchanges of Long An province.

II. PROJECT INFORMATION LONG AN INTERNATIONAL SEAPORT
 
- Located on the right bank of Soai Rap river and adjacent to Huong road 19
- Planning area: 145 ha.
- Length of water surface: 2,600 m.
- Including 7 wharves with a total length of 1,670 m and 5 barges with a total length of 400 m.
- It has been agreed by the Vietnam Maritime Administration in writing No. 1414/CHHVN-HKTC dated 23/7/2008 for 02 berths to receive ships of 30,000 DWT and Official Letter 2452/CHHVN-HKTC dated 13/11/2009 for 5 bridges. The new port includes 1 wharf for ships of 30,000 DWT and 4 berths for ships from 30,000 DWT to 50,000 DWT.
